 The firm of Skidmore & Associates provides its clients with
a range of services related to litigation, arbitration and dispute
resolution. At Skidmore & Associates, we can provide dispute

Our attorneys have served as arbitrators and mediators in civil

- Skidmore & Associates was retained by the Summit County
Common Pleas Court to mediate a conflict that arose in the construction
of Inventure Place (now known as The Inventors Hall of Fame) located
in Akron, Ohio. Alply, Inc., et al. v. Courtad Construction
Systems, Inc. et al. Summit County Common Pleas Court Case
No. 95-07-2345.
- Skidmore & Associates was retained by the Common Pleas Court
to mediate a personal injury case. Timothy L. Sunderland v.
Donna R. Ostrom, Summit County Common Pleas Court, Case No.
95-08-2760.
- After 2 years of litigation, Skidmore & Associates and opposing
counsel successfully mediated complex commercial litigation concurrently
pending in the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. District
Court and U.S. Bankruptcy Court. City of Akron v. Airspect
Air, Inc., In the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District
of Ohio, Eastern Division, Adversary Proceeding No. 96-5047; City

- Skidmore & Associates was appointed as an arbitrator by
the Summit County Common Pleas Court in a complex residential
construction case involving the application of the Ohio Consumer
Sales Practices Act. Diana Morris v. Vinray General Constructions,
Inc. Summit County Pleas Court, Case No. 96-07-2987.
- Skidmore & Associates mediated construction, contract and
real estate disputes between a municipal corporation and a minor
league baseball team owner involving the baseball stadium located
at Canal Park, Akron, Ohio. City of Akron v. Akron Professional
Baseball, Inc., Summit County Common Pleas Court, Case No.
97-05-3533.
- Skidmore & Associates litigated and settled a suit on behalf
of a municipal corporation concerning claim priorities of mortgagee
and municipal tax incremental financing and UDAG loans regarding
the YMCA building located in downtown Akron, Ohio. First National
Bank of Ohio v. Canal Square Rehabilitation Associates, Summit
County Common Pleas Court, Case No. CV1996-05-1806.
