Associates to Sponsor Joe Ungvary, Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament
in Akron
The ADGA is a non-profit organization that has promoted amateur
golf competition in the greater Akron area for 72 years. Joe Ungvary
Sr., was an outstanding amateur golf talent who participated in
ADGA golf events between 1970 and 1997.

Some of the amateur golf achievements of Joe Ungvary Sr., consist
of:

In tribute to the memory of Joe Ungvary Sr., the ADGA established
and promoted an amateur golf competition entitled the "Joe
Ungvary Sr. Memorial", consisting of a two-man jumble event.
Skidmore & Associates is sponsoring this year's ADGA "Joe
Ungvary Sr. Memorial". The tournament is scheduled for Saturday,
June 29, 2002 to commence at 9:30 a.m. at Good Park Golf Course
located in Akron, Ohio.
The format consists of a two-man jumble event as follows:
- Holes 1-6 scramble
- Holes 7-12 alternate
- Holes 13-18 best ball
- 18 hole team win
- Skins
The entry fee will consist of $150.00 per team and the tournament
consists of an ADGA points event. After the tournament, food will
be available to all golf participants courtesy of Crocker's Restaurant.
